Defibrillator Community Training Sessions, Bradfield

Learn how to access and use your local defibrillator! Training will be given by The Manningtree and Bradfield First Responders on the following dates and times: Sessions 1 and 2: Tuesday 5th July 2022, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Village Maid, Heath Road, Bradfield, CO11 2UZ and Session 3: Thursday 7th July 2022, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Church Hall, St Lawrence Church, The Street, Bradfield, CO11 2US All sessions are free. If you would like to sign up for one of these sessions please e-mail the Parish Clerk on clerk@bradfieldparishcouncil.org.uk no later than 12 p.m. on Monday 4th July 2022 to express your interest. Please note places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Wildlife Ponds - Funding Available - Spring 2022!

Funding is now available in certain parts of Essex for the restoration and creation of clean water wildlife ponds capable of supporting great crested newts. The funding is part of Natural England’s District Level Licencing scheme (DLL), a new strategy for compensating the loss of newt habitats, which seeks to provide new ponds and bigger, better, more joined-up habitat for this orange-bellied amphibian at a landscape scale. With Storm Eunice looking set to rattle through central areas of the UK – for our region, this means there is a risk that south west then westerly severe gales or storm force winds developing and an increasing likelihood of widespread inland wind gusts of 60 to 70mph. In a few locations, gusts up to 80 mph are possible for a time. A Met Office Amber Warning of Wind (MetOffice details can be found HERE), has now been issued for Storm Eunice and is valid from 0300 until 2100 on Friday.
