Sunday 5th June - The Big Lunch
Every year since the idea began in 2009, The Big Lunch has encouraged communities to celebrate their connections & get to know each other a little bit better.

So, to this end Bradfield have organised a whole afternoon event that we hope has something for everyone to enjoy.

The event begins at 12 noon for a 1pm sit down lunch at the tables provided. We are asking our villager's to bring a picnic or visit Ragmarsh Burger Van or Chris's Ices for some deliciously locally produced goods, & the Village Maid will be running a licenced bar inside the village hall.

There are many local groups & clubs within the village who will be hosting stalls on the day along with field games including a tug of war, sack race, egg & spoon race, boot camp, shark attack & chuck the chicken. There will also be 2 bouncy castles and a live band called Revolver will be entertaining us.

A raffle will be drawn on the day with all proceeds going to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance who will also have a stall on the day.

In attendance there will be Morris Dancers who love the audience to participate, a coconut shy, face painting, friends of Bradfield school, our pretty wedding flower cart, the allotment society, a quiz stall, the loo roll challenge, knit & natter, wine or water stall, a wood turning exhibition, the woman's institute, friends of St Lawrence Church & the rolling pig.

Additionally, there will be a selection of vintage tractors available to view along with a fire engine.

On this day only, dogs on leads will be allowed onto the field. There will be a dog snack station with plenty of fresh water & mini treats available for our canine friends.

Our mater of ceremony will be Graham who will talk & sing us through the day.

We are encouraging residents to walk to this event where possible. Parking within the village hall car park will be limited on the day to blue badge holders only, any other vehicles will have to park on the public road.
