The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend 2022

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend 2022 taking place at Bradfield Village Hall & Bradfield Recreation Ground. Thursday 2nd June - 8.15pm - 10.00pm & Sunday 5th June - 12 noon - 5.30pm. Thursday 2nd June - The lighting of the beacon8.15 pm - The event will begin at Bradfield Recreation Ground with Ragmarsh Farm Burger Bar, Crumb & Brew & Chris's Ices supplying refreshments.8.30 pm - The Tendring Brass Band will play various pieces of music including the unique bugle call 'Majesty'. 9.35 pm - The bag piper will play Die Regnare.9.45pm - The Deputy Lord Lieutenant will light the beacon with the assistance of Manningtree Fire Station who will be in attendance throughout the evening. Defibrillator Community Training Sessions, Bradfield

Learn how to access and use your local defibrillator! Training will be given by The Manningtree and Bradfield First Responders on the following dates and times: Sessions 1 and 2: Tuesday 5th July 2022, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Village Maid, Heath Road, Bradfield, CO11 2UZ and Session 3: Thursday 7th July 2022, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Church Hall, St Lawrence Church, The Street, Bradfield, CO11 2US All sessions are free. If you would like to sign up for one of these sessions please e-mail the Parish Clerk on clerk@bradfieldparishcouncil.org.uk no later than 12 p.m. on Monday 4th July 2022 to express your interest. Please note places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Wildlife Ponds - Funding Available - Spring 2022!

Funding is now available in certain parts of Essex for the restoration and creation of clean water wildlife ponds capable of supporting great crested newts. The funding is part of Natural England's District Level Licencing scheme (DLL), a new strategy for compensating the loss of newt habitats, which seeks to provide new ponds and bigger, better, more joined-up habitat for this orange-bellied amphibian at a landscape scale.
