Role Information

Could You Make a Difference in Our Community?

We currently have a vacancy for a Parish Councillor and are seeking enthusiastic, community-minded residents to join the Parish Council.

Parish Councillors play a vital role in representing local people, shaping community initiatives, and helping to improve the area for everyone. This is an opportunity to have a direct influence on local issues, support community projects, and contribute to decisions that affect the future of our parish.

No previous experience is required. What matters most is a commitment to the community, a willingness to listen to residents, and an interest in local affairs. Full support and guidance will be provided.

As a Parish Councillor, you will:

- Represent the views and interests of local residents.
- Help make decisions on local services, facilities, and projects.
- Work with fellow councillors and community organisations.
- Support initiatives that enhance the quality of life within the parish.
- Attend Parish Council meetings and participate in council activities.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years of age, be a British citizen, qualifying Commonwealth citizen, or citizen of the Republic of Ireland, and meet one of the local connection requirements set out in electoral law.

If you are passionate about your community and would like to help shape its future, we would be delighted to hear from you.
