NOTICE OF ELECTION: Bradfield Parish Council, Election of 9 Parish Councillors

1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer during
office opening hours (9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
2. Completed nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer
during office opening hours (9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9.00 a.m.
to 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 4 April 2023), from the date of this notice but not later than
4.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 4 April 2023.
3. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 4 May 2023
between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. For electors voting in polling stations
there is a legal requirement to take a prescribed form of photographic identification
to vote. A full list of the prescribed forms of photographic identification is available at
www.tendringdc.gov.uk/elections. For those who require a Voter Authority
Certificate to meet the requirement for photographic identification, applications can
be made at https://voter-authority-certificate.service.gov.uk/.
4. Applications can also be made online https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
5. Applications for, amendments to or cancellations of arrangements to vote by post or
by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 18
April 2023 if they are to be effective for this election.
6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration
Officer by 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 April 2023
7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election - applied for on grounds of a
medical emergency (occurring after 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 April 2023), because of
work/service reasons (occurring after 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 April 2023) or the form
of acceptable photographic identification that you were intending to use to vote has
been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, or has not yet been received if applied for
recently - must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5.00 p.m. on Thursday, 4
May 2023.
