Following the installation of the new play equipment for 6-12 year olds and the refurbishment of the 2-5 year olds play equipment in the Community Centre grounds, the Parish Council is now considering further enhancements to the facilities. The hope is that, despite the current economic climate, funding can be obtained to bring the playground up to the standard we believe the village children and young people deserve.

Various suggestions, such as additional swings, a zipwire etc. for the younger children, a multi-use games area, and some outdoor fitness equipment for older children/teenagers, (and adults), have been made.

Whilst it is quite easy to determine what enhancements to the existing equipment would be useful, it is more difficult when it comes to deciding exactly what type of multi-use games area etc., i.e. five a side football, netball, basketball, volleyball, mini-tennis etc. would be wanted and, more importantly, well used.Unfortunately no single games surface suffices for all potential sports and we now wish to carry out a short survey to determine what facilities villagers would like to see.

This follows the more general survey of village needs undertaken several years ago.

Please either complete the survey online at this link or download it from here , print out and return to the Parish Clerk.
